HUGH Jackman is set to team with teen queen Miley Cyrus in a tween version of The Bodyguard.

Variety magazine is reporting that the pair are to work together in a movie musical, Personal Security.

The muscle-bound Jackman is to play a tough New York police detective forced into bodyguard duty for a spoiled teen heiress — believed to be played by Cyrus — who is receiving kidnapping threats.

The reports come after Cyrus and Jackman were seen having lunch at Los Angeles hot spot Morton’s Steakhouse with movie executives.

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus donned her running shoes for a good cause, joining actors for a charity event to raise money for cancer research.

The 16-year-old kicked off the Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles May 9, which saw 50,000 people come together for the event, reports contactmusic.com.

“Think of all the money that you’ve raised by working together. And you guys have been doing it 16 years, that’s as old as me. So this is pretty amazing, to have a foundation that has been working for so long and just as many people are here,” Cyrus, who joined in with her mother Tish, told the crowd.

“The Revlon Run/Walk is seriously amazing, so make sure you guys keep it up. We’ll keep it going no matter how long it takes until all of our sisters are safe from these cancers,” she added.

Other stars who joined the run included breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate and Desperate Housewivesactress Marcia Cross.

Miley Cyrus may share a lot with dad Billy Ray Cyrus, but it looks like the two disagree when it comes to whether she should continue to date current boyfriend Justin Gaston.
Teen queen Miley Cyrus plans to leave 20-year-old boyfriend Justin Gaston behind, but the other older man in her life doesn’t approve. According a report in the National Enquirer, the “Hannah Montana” star’s father, Billy Ray Cyrus, hopes his daughter keeps her model man around.

“Miley thinks her career is at a tipping point, where she’s transitioning from kid stuff to more mature movies and music, and she doesn’t want to be tied down with Justin,” a source told the magazine. “She has a nagging feeling that Justin is trying to ride her coattails to success and she resents that.”

The 16-year-old allegedly told friends that Justin is “cramping her style,” but that’s not how Billy Ray Cyrus sees it. He introduced Gaston to his little girl last year and still holds out hope for the relationship.

“(Billy Ray warned Miley she’s) behaving immaturely and that she’ll regret dumping Justin,” the source revealed. “Billy Ray thinks Justin is a solid, stand-up Christian guy who keeps his nose clean and stays out of trouble.”

Dad may have a hard time convincing the younger Cyrus to change her mind, as the issue is less about Gaston’s character and more about the teen star’s wandering eye.

“It’s finally dawning on (Miley) that she’s young, rich and famous,” the source said. “And she can have any guy she’s interested in.”

If her autobiography wasn’t enough, Miley Cyrus decided to discuss her views regarding a range of topics during an interview with Great Britain’s The Daily Mail. The Hannah Montana starlet talked about what it felt like growing up under the public eye, her on-screen character and even her vow to stay pure before marriage.

The 16-year-old sensation began by saying how difficult it was to be famous. “‘It’s hard growing up in the spotlight,” she said, “and I’m changing. I can’t be the 12-year-old who just moved to LA for ever. I’m having a great time doing what I do, but I’m also going to stumble and fall. Having my parents close helps.”
DCyrus added: “‘People mention child performers who have gone off the rails, but there are also stable people like Jodie Foster. She was a child star and look where she is now. She called to give me advice which was great.”

She may be evolving from Disney princess to her own woman, but it’s never easy for her to leave the past behind. The success she’s gained with Hannah Montana has pushed her towards where she is now, and she’s grateful for it. But Cyrus admits that she can relate with how tough being a superstar can be when you’re trying to be a regular girl.

“‘It’s not realistic for this kind of double-life to work,” she explained. “Anyone over the age of 14 is going to understand that. But while Hannah was the alter-ego who allowed Miley to live her dream, in the film they’ve melted together and it’s ruining her life.”

Despite the on-screen drama, Miley remains a driving force in the entertainment industry. She’s recently been tapped to play the lead female on Nicholas Sparks’ big-screen work, The Last Song. Delving more into romance, Cyrus is definitely undergoing quite the transformation. Off-screen, she’s been tied to 20-year-old model Justin Gaston.

“‘But I want to keep my virginity until I marry,” she solemnly confessed. “I was brought up in a Christian family.”

Whether it’s marriage or music, we won’t really know what’s next for Miley Cyrus. However, we’re pretty sure that she’ll still be around and under the limelight.

Miley Cyrus is sixteen years old now, and coming off an amazing year in which her name turned many products straight into gold. Of course everyone is familiar with just how hot Hannah Montana tickets were this year. If you could even find one, you would have paid top dollar to attend one of Miley’s shows.

Then with the launch of Breakout, Miley Cyrus herself emerged as a sales star. As a solo star and Disney product, Cyrus helped pushed product to tweens.

Miley was by far the biggest seller on eBay this year, crushing such competitors as the Jonas Brothers and High School Musical.

“When someone or something excites the American public, you immediately see a surge of related listings pop up on eBay,” stated Karen Bard who is eBay’s pop culture expert.

All told, nearly one quarter million Hannah Montana items exchange hands on EBay last year.

Miley Cyrus is the reigning champ of sales for 2008.
