Miley Cyrus Talks About Fame And Fortune

The Hannah Montana starlet talked about what it felt like growing up under the public eye, her on-screen character and even her vow to stay pure before marriage.
The 16-year-old sensation began by saying how difficult it was to be famous. “‘It’s hard growing up in the spotlight,” she said, “and I’m changing. I can’t be the 12-year-old who just moved to LA for ever. I’m having a great time doing what I do, but I’m also going to stumble and fall. Having my parents close helps.”
DCyrus added: “‘People mention child performers who have gone off the rails, but there are also stable people like Jodie Foster. She was a child star and look where she is now. She called to give me advice which was great.”
She may be evolving from Disney princess to her own woman, but it’s never easy for her to leave the past behind. The success she’s gained with Hannah Montana has pushed her towards where she is now, and she’s grateful for it. But Cyrus admits that she can relate with how tough being a superstar can be when you’re trying to be a regular girl.
“‘It’s not realistic for this kind of double-life to work,” she explained. “Anyone over the age of 14 is going to understand that. But while Hannah was the alter-ego who allowed Miley to live her dream, in the film they’ve melted together and it’s ruining her life.”
Despite the on-screen drama, Miley remains a driving force in the entertainment industry. She’s recently been tapped to play the lead female on Nicholas Sparks’ big-screen work, The Last Song. Delving more into romance, Cyrus is definitely undergoing quite the transformation. Off-screen, she’s been tied to 20-year-old model Justin Gaston.
“‘But I want to keep my virginity until I marry,” she solemnly confessed. “I was brought up in a Christian family.”
Whether it’s marriage or music, we won’t really know what’s next for Miley Cyrus. However, we’re pretty sure that she’ll still be around and under the limelight.
