The rise to stardom and pop princess has been a fast one for a young Tennessee girl who goes by the name of Miley Cyrus. For Miley, it appears as though stardom was born and bred within the teen sensation since within her mother’s womb. With the “one hit wonder” Billy Ray Cyrus as her father and the fact that one of country music’s most famous voices and faces, Dolly Parton, is her godmother, is it any wonder that the girl knows a bit about music? As though having an incredibly promising and talented voice isn’t enough, Miley Cyrus also displays an exceptional talent for writing and acting, which is delightfully apparent in her recordings, her sitcom Hannah Montana, and her full-length movie, Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Through all of of this and the rapid rise of fame, it amazingly appears as though Miley is a fairly well-rounded individual who has, thus far, managed to escape that out-of-control phase that several young teen idols have gone through these past few years. As a parent, this is a rather reassuring thing, knowing how easily young girls are affected by what they see and hear and how much they want to imitate those they idolize.

In this unauthorized story, The World According to Miley Cyrus, Miley is compared to a young Judy Garland. Though incredibly high praise, this just doesn’t seem to ring true to me and seems a bit of an odd comparison. However, there is also mention of the similarities between Miley, on her sitcom Hannah Montana, and Lucille Ball. This seems, to me, an excellent comparison. I had never thought of these two as similar until it was mentioned in this video. They do share a delightful comedic talent that reaches out to grab the viewers and display some similar characteristics in their physical comedy.

This unauthorized DVD takes the fans and viewers into the world of Miley Cyrus. It tells of her ups (her hit TV series Hannah Montana) and her downs (her controversial picture in Vanity Fair), her romances, and the average, everyday fun she loves to partake in. This is a girl who openly admits to having the best of both worlds and realizing she has been blessed.

Also, throughout the video are clips of interviews with fellow Hannah Montana cast members, family, and friends. Through this film, the viewer is given a feeling for who Miley really is. She is incredibly talented in her ability to write, perform, and act and seems as though she truly can accomplish whatever she puts her heart, soul, mind, and hard work into.

I also believe that Miley is a great role model for young girls today. She seems to have virtues and truly cares about her fans and being a good influence. Yes, she’s growing up and may make choices that all parents may not agree with, but she is only human, does make mistakes, and will learn from them just as we all do.

As the mother of a seven-year-old daughter who has enjoyed Miley’s alter ego Hannah Montana for a couple of years now, we both enjoyed this DVD. It was fun, engaging, and showed that there is a real person behind all of those flashbulbs and glaring lights.

In addition to Miley’s story, the DVD includes bonus snippets of peeks into the lives of singer-songwriter Chris Brown, actress Dakota Fanning, and the beloved Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens of High School Musical fame.

Now that shooting has wrapped on the Miley Cyrus movie “The Last Song” at the Georgia Aquarium, Buzz can share more scoop from the set.

The tween star of Disney’s “Hannah Montana” actually arrived in Atlanta Monday to get acclimated to the aquarium’s fish tanks. Spies on the set report that Miley took to the water right away in a specially made cobalt and red wetsuit created for her for the film (aquarium employees normally use less flashy and film-ready black wetsuits). Cyrus remarked to her mom (and film producer Leticia Cyrus) “how great” the experience was.

Cyrus’ scenes at the Atlanta tourist attraction were with co-star and “Song” love interest Liam Hemsworth, an Australian actor best known for his stint on the Aussie soap “Neighbours.” Hemsworth, 18, plays Will Blakelee, an aquarium volunteer in the family film.

During the day-long closed set shoot Tuesday, Cyrus was busy chatting with her make-up artist Julie Hewitt via their Twitter feeds.

According to Hewitt, the 16-year-old star doesn’t require much make-up.

Good thing.

Cyrus’ co-stars in one scene? The aquarium’s whale sharks where make-up is prohibited in the tank.

Miley Cyrus pole dancing at Teen Choice Awards (photos & video), did it cross the line?

Miley Cyrus is known to cause drama with photos and video, but her pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards may just take the cake or the ice cream cone. Miley was performing her song “Party in the USA” at the Teen Choice Awards and her performance was going well, not too provocative until she jumped on an Ice cream cart. Once on top the cart she started pole dancing a little.

Miley was dancing on a stripper pole disguised as a Ice Cream truck and her performance has crossed the line in the eyes of many. The debate has now started. Should 16 year old Miley Cyrus be pole dancing somewhat like a stripper on national television? Many are now question why Miley parents would approve such a provocative and suggestive dance routine.

After Miley’s performance, some are comparing Cyrus to Britney Spears. Miley has taken the comparison as a compliment. She said on Twitter “For all the people calling me the “next Britney” THANK U. I couldn’t ask for a better compliment ”

In 2008 Miley Cyrus did a photo shoot for Vanity Fair magazine. The pictures were taken by celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz. The photos appeared to show Miley nude only covered by a sheet. Although the photos were tastefully done Miley had to apologize. She released a statement to People magazine that said “My goal in my music and my acting is always to make people happy. For Vanity Fair, I was so honored and thrilled to work with Annie. I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be ‘artistic’ and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed.”

The Disney Channel also released a statement denouncing the Leibovitz photos. The statement read in part “Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.”

What a difference a year makes. Miley was embarrassed for taking the semi-nude photos for Vanity Fair, but dancing on a stripper pole at the Teen Choice Awards is okay?

We presume an adult was the one who choreographed Miley’s dance routine. Is the choreographer to blame, Miley or her parents?

Nick Jonas has allegedly given girlfriend Miley Cyrus a promise ring as a sign of his commitment. Sources say the Jonas Brothers singer, whose brother Kevin Jonas was recently engaged to Danielle Deleasa, gave Cyrus a gold diamond ring.
“Nick gave Miley a gold ring with a diamond heart. It’s sweet and appropriate for her age,” says an insider. “Of course, Miley thought it was perfect and beautiful. They are a very happy couple these days. They are too young to marry certainly, but who knows what the future will bring?”
The Hannah Montana star split from Justin Gaston last month after admitting she had “reconnected” with Jonas.
